LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK

This is Uganda’s Smallest National Park and is habitat to numerous wildlife for example the Topi, Eland, Giraffe plus Zebra & is a habitat to over 300 bird species including the African Fish Eagle, crested francolin, Red necked spurfowl etc.

Lake Mburo National Park is located west of Uganda and is the closest amongst all national Parks of Uganda.

BWINDI IMPENTRABLE FOREST NATIONAL PARK

Located in South-western Uganda is home to the endangered Mountain Gorillas situated along the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) border next to the Virunga National Park and on the edge of the Albertine Rift.

There mainly four sectors in this park namely Buhoma Sector, Ruhija Sector, Rushaga sector and Nkuringo sector in the North, East, South &West respectively.

All the above sectors have different family groups that are all trekked in the search of these mighty gentle giants (Gorillas in Uganda).

DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1:

0700hrs
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your overnight accommodation and will embark on a journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park; on arrival here, you will check into your accommodation.

Later dinner and overnight.
Accommodation: Elephant Plains Lodge.
Activities: Stop over at the equator.
Driving time: Upto 7.5hrs

Day2:

0630hrs
After an early morning coffee and with packed breakfast, you will head to the park; here you will begin your lion tracking experience.

Depending on how long the game drive takes, you will head to the breakfast area overlooking one of the salt Lakes in the park for a Rolex meal.

After breakfast, you will return to the lodge for your lunch.

Later after lunch, you will relax and later head on for a sundowner on the famous Kazinga Channel.

Kazinga Channel; in Uganda is a wide, 32-kilometre long natural channel that links Lake Edward and Lake George, and a dominant feature of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Depending how long the cruise takes, you will return to the lodge for your dinner and overnight.

Activities: Lion tracking experience, Sundowner on Kazinga Channel.
Driving time: Upto 6hrs.

Day3:

0700hrs
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your overnight accommodation and will embark on a journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park with lunch enroute; On arrival here, you will check into your accommodation.

Enroute will be a stopover at the equator and lunch at the Igongo Cultural center and Museum

Later you will have your dinner & overnight.
Accommodation: Rushaga Gorilla Camp.
Activities: N/A
Driving time: Upto 6hrs.

Day4:

0700hrs
After breakfast, you will head for a short drive to the briefing area; here you will be briefed by a Park ranger about and thereafter begin your Gorilla trekking activity; this should last you about 6-8hrs.

Depending on how long the trekking will take, you will return to meet with your guide/driver and thereafter head for a short drive back to the lodge.

On arrival you will freshen up and later have dinner and overnight.

Activities: Gorilla Trekking Activity in Uganda.
Driving time: Upto 1hrs.

Day5:

0700hrs.
After breakfast, you will embark on a journey back to Lake Mburo National Park with lunch enroute at the Igongo Cultural center.

On arrival, you will check into your accommodation and later have dinner overnight.
Accommodation: Mihingo Safari Lodge.
Activities: N/A.
Driving time: Upto 6hrs.

Day6:

0700hrs
After breakfast, you will head out for a morning bike Safari with in the park; expect to see numerous wildlife at close range.

Later depending on what you see and how long it takes, you will return to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch, you will do Horse Safari with in the park; expect to see numerous wildlife on a horse.
Depending how long the riding takes and what you get to see, you will return to the lodge for your dinner and overnight.
